Safely test in HV environments

Whether thermocouples, analog sensors or low-voltage signals - for measurements on batteries, fuel cells and supply circuits in the HV environment, a highly-isolated measurement system and corresponding safety measures are necessary. Also in the case of measurements on non-direct voltage-carrying components, such as charging plugs, power semi-conductors, etc., the full safety of the measurement equipment and personnel must be ensured in case of accidents.With the imc CANSAS-HCI8 highly-isolated measurement modules, imc ensures reliable measurement of HV components. The modules comply with the device safety standard EN 61010 and have an isolation of: 800 V CAT I, 300 V CAT II.

Power measurements

Power measurements on e-vehicles

With the HV measurement modules from imc, voltage up to 1000 V can be directly measured. In addition, there are inputs for current clamps, Rogowski coils and measurement shunts. A 1, 2 or 3-phase power calculation is performed online in the measurement system.

Electrical vs. mechanical power

The power transmitted in real driving conditions is an important parameter to quantify the efficiency of drive trains. The drive power is calculated from the torque and rpm of the shaft. For this purpose, imc offers an innovative and robust measurement solution: the system combines telemetry electronics, MEMS-based speed sensors and inductive power supply in an easily assembled shaft housing. The system calculates the performance online from torque and rpm and outputs it as an additional measured variable.
